Jeff Bryan shows us the unrivaled quality and engineering of CON-E-CO's Tilt Mixer Tube. Duration : 2.57 Mins.

Creteheads, Owen Blevins, Concreteanswers.tv bringing you the internet's most passionate show about concrete plants and equipment. Today we're headed out west to Blair, Nebraska where Jeff Bryan, CON-E-CO's sale manager is going to talk to us a little bit about the CON-E-CO Tilt Mixer. Beautiful piece of equipment, very well engineered and incredibly well machined, check it out. We're out in the fabrication shop looking at one of our mixers being built. This tilting unit is a 12-yard mixer. We're just getting ready to well on the belly, the ring gear to this drum. I just wanted to show you how we get this ring gear in. We actually have it forged somewhere, through Arden, get the teeth machine cut. We have them weld it to a 14-inch wide by 1-inch thick belly band. That's all pre-heated and welded and then it's put on a lathe, and again it's through hardened. Then they actually put on a lathe and turn the inside of this belly band for us, so when we get it here it's perfectly round. Then we put it on our drum and we do a submerge arc weld to weld it to our drum. And that's how we get such a nice perfectly round drum at the end of the process. Now we're looking at the finished barrel. This is a 12-yard drum and you can see the ring gear is all welded on, nice submerge arc weld here by CON-E-CO to attach it to the barrel. Once we get this thing all done we actually put it in the cradle section of the mixer and we check for the run out to make sure we are round. And we'll send ...
